Welcome to Blaze Engineering, Inc.

Blaze Engineering, Inc. was created in 1985 with the purchase of one backhoe loader and a dump truck. By 1989 we incorporated and established a thriving business in Big Sur.  Owners Helmuth and Marty Morgenrath hired more employees and acquired more equipment, building a crew of skilled workers.   Throughout the '90s the business continued to grow, expanding its services to the community to include road building, paving, as well as underground construction, site development, and slope stabilization. Since the company began operating Blaze Engineering has weathered the challenges of life in this coastal community with its mountain mudslides, road closures and inconsistent economy, responding to the resident and business neighbors' emergencies; helping repair roads, rebuild water systems, and restore power.
